Introduction to the newsletter
Welcome to the first email newsletter. I plan to do a monthly newsletter which will take a look at interesting articles, studies, conditions and treatments and also detail any relevant news and reviews including general health and fitness tips, footwear and training. Hopefully you will find the newsletter to be informative and useful. I’m aware that people don’t always like emails clogging up their inboxes and understand if you don’t wish to receive the newsletter. If this is you then you can opt out through the link provided.
New Name and Location
The practice has recently undergone some exciting developments. You may have noticed a change of name on the website from North Shore Foot and Ankle Physiotherapy to Shore Physiotherapy. I have done this to reflect a more generalised scope of treatment but given the history of the practice, I will still retain a strong focus on the foot and ankle. This name change will coincide with the opening of a new premises in North Manly located on Pittwater Road opposite the tennis courts at the northern end of Nolan’s reserve. The St Leonard’s clinic, currently located on the 4th floor of North Shore Private Hospital will remain in the same location within the Foot and Ankle Clinic working alongside Professor Martin Sullivan. The email address firstname.lastname@example.org will transition to email@example.com but I will receive both so either will do. The same with the website address which is now www.shorephysio.com.au but will be redirected should you use the www.footphysio.com.au address.
Apart from the name change and the clinic relocation at North Manly, I have again signed on in a part time roll with the Manly Sea Eagles looking after their junior representative sides. This is a short seasonal venture which provides valuable experience in the treatment and follow up of acute injuries while allowing time to dedicate to the running of the practice.
New Online Booking Procedure
A new way to make and manage your appointments in the form of an online booking procedure has been implemented. There is a link through the website to get to the booking system which will allow you to choose your own appointment from a number of different times. Initially you will be given a choice of the first available appointments but if that does not quite suit your schedule, you will be able to select the preferred day that will meet your availability, with a selection of times available. You get a few attempts to pick your preferred appointment before the system will direct me to call you if you are having issues. It might be a little tricky at first but as you learn to navigate the procedure efficiently it will be an easy process to manage. I’d love for you to have a browse through the system even if you don’t intend to make an appointment and give any feedback, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org,that you think relevant.
The practice is open for all of January but there is some Saturday scheduling clashes so if you can’t book in on the desired Saturday please get in contact via phone or email and we can work out times either before and after these events to get your conditions reviewed.
